Joint Meeting

Monday, January 23, 2023
Councilmembers Present: Don Vanney, Heather Logan, Marilyn Oertle, Jan Schuette,
Michele Blythe and Debora Nelson, via Zoom.
Council Members Absent: Yvonne Gallardo-Van Ornam.
Planning Commissioners Present: Bruce Angell, Melissa Johnson, Tim Dean, and Gayle
Roeber.
Planning Commissioners Absent: Mike Thomas.
Staff Present: Mayor Barb Tolbert, Paul Ellis, Robby Eckroth, Marc Hayes, Amy Rusko,
Raelynn Jones, Tony Orr, City Attorney Steve Peiffle, and Julie Petersen.
Also Known to be Present: Kathy Vanney, Mandi Roberts, Nathen Lamb, Cara Donovan,
and Sierra Carson.
Mayor Barb Tolbert called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm, and the Pledge of Allegiance and
roll call followed.
DISCUSSION ITEM - NO ACTION WAS TAKEN
Comprehensive Plan Presentation with Consultant, OTAK
Community and Economic Development Director, Marc Hayes introduced the OTAK
consultants, Mandi Roberts, Nathen Lamb, Cara Donovan, and Sierra Carson.
The OTAK consultants reviewed the details of the Arlington Comprehensive Plan that
included the planning process and timeline, plan framework, Comprehensive Plan table of
contents, community profile and mapping, city review process, engagement of public
comments and input received to date, and next steps. Discussion followed with City Staff
and OTAK consultants answering Planning Commission and City Council questions.

The joint meeting was adjourned at 5:57 p.m.
