HomeMy WebLinkAbout2013-015ORDINANCE NO. 2013-015 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARLINGTON, WASHINGTON MODIFYING SPEED LIMITS ON PORTIONS OF STATE ROUTE 531 WHEREAS, the City of Arlington, Washington, has the authority to enact laws to regulate vehicles and traffic within the city; and WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation has requested revision of speed limits on State Route 531 (172"d St. NE) and provided a traffic speed study supporting the request, and NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arlington do hereby ordain as follows: Section 1. Speed limits between milepost 6.89 and 8.60 on State Route 531 shall be set at 35 miles per hour (m.p.h.). Section 2. Severability. If any provision, section, or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be effective five days from its adoption and publication as required by law and upon approval by the Washington State Department of Transportation as required by law.
