Will you be providing comment on an agenda item,or on a topic that is not on the agenda(general comment)?*
Agenda Item General Comment
Which agenda item or topic would you like to provide public comment on?
item 1 -Council Rules of Procedure.
Please leave your written comment below:
Restricting the Public Comment period to 30 minutes without an effective way to capture and document what the remaining people have to say
is wrong.
Regarding 4.2 Order of Business for Workshop Meetings, eliminating the public's ability to comment on Workshop items is wrong.
In relation to point number 6,why not include that the Entire Council shall also be prohibited from discussing any matter that involves any
member who has recused themself? And why not also include this protection from corruption clause...This includes but shall not be limited to
business affairs that any council member may have regarding any development project that comes before the Council? That lack of this language
suggests loopholes for bad actors to continue the practice of using their power for the benefit of themselves.
