Ken Wishart is the property owner and designated care taker of this creek. This house and garage have both been struck from large Fir tree branches piercing the roof(see pictures) on numerous occasions in the past several years. The large branches have also damaged the bridge crossing the creek for maintenance. These are healthy Douglas Fir trees but are nuisance trees causing structural damage. The next time branch failure can be prevented from further property or physical damage. Recommendation These trees provide no shade at this point for this year-round salmon spawning stream but are hazardous to this home and property. The two Douglas Fir trees should be removed with care and mitigate with fast growing shrubs and trees e.g. native willows, Red twig dogwoods and 6 Western Red Cedars to provide shade year-round.
