HomeMy WebLinkAbout20251105_PJA25-0060_Lighting Cut Sheets Thunder Bird Hangar, LLC—Arlington Airport- Project Description Arlington, Washington The proposed project is an 11,250 square foot metal hangar with two large doors to accommodate easy ingress and egress for multiple types and sizes of aircraft. The hangar is approximately 25 feet tall with door sizes of 20 feet high. The building dimensions are 150 feet wide by 75 feet deep. The hangar will house an FAA 145 repair station (Thunderbird Aero, LLC - Repair Station Number THUR384E) as well as a vintage World War II fighter aircraft and race aircraft(s). It is planned that the facility will have two restrooms a small amount of office space and space for parts and hardware. Also contemplated is a 10 X 15 structure that is connected to the hangarfor a compressor room and a blast cabinet, etc. This structure will be surrounded by landscaping and Located on the east side of the hangar in a landscaping island in the parking lot. We have proposed several paintings of various aircraft (which aircraft are yet to be determined, but probably a P51 Mustang will be one) on the east side of the building, which we feel will make a very cool visual. The hangar will have landscaping along the east side of the building together with a sidewalk and backlit awnings on the corner locations and some glazing. Downlit wallpack LED lighting units will be installed on the east, west and north sides of the building. Corporate signage will also be added to the building. We are also planning to have solar panels installed on the roof and an electric boiler for radiant heat in the building. This will make the project very energy efficient. Also,we have excess land on the east side of the property that could accommodate another building of an estimated 4,000 to 5,750 square feet.
