HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-08-26_McDonald_Public CommentI'm a landowner and taxpayer here in old town residential.
Recently a fence contractor hired by a nextdoor neighbor poured his leftover
concrete slurry into our hedge which then poured into the City's sidewalk.
Though I provided ample photographic evidence, Arlington compliance officer
failed to take action, stating that the contractor claimed innocence. The photos
clearly demonstrate otherwise. The photos can be provided
For decades our neighbor to the north has harassed us with everything from yard
debris thrown over the fence into our yard, to building right up to the property line,
to 24/7 playing a radio, to running an industrial six foot tall air compressor,
unhoused and uncovered, unbaffled, directly behind our art studio. This neighbor
intentionally installed it outside his garage, in the far corner of his property, blocked
by his outbuildings, so he wouldn't have to hear it himself. Of course, the neighbors
are also affected. This neighbor, now several times notified by the City, has more
recently begun turning on the compressor whenever he sees our family in that
corner of our yard or entering our studio. I recorded the sound in our studio and
that recording can be provided
Last week an Arlington officer called me, responding to my repeated complaints.
She repeatedly berated me with "what do you want me to do about it"?
I've placed multiple complaints against unlawfully mufflered car owners. I haven't
heard any difference. these offenders are very easy to locate but Arlington does
nothing even after license plates are provided
As a resident land owner and property tax payer here in our City, am I not deserving
of some protection from our City against those who do us all harm?
