Dear Mr. & Mrs. Ladines,
First of all, thank you for the opportunity to bid on your deck project. We feel gratified
that you thought enough of our work at your neighbors residence to consider us to
construct your deck.
Secondly, I wish to apologize for the delay in getting back to you sooner. Shortly after I
met with you Curt, our daughter-in-law left for Liberia, West Africa to meet up with our
son who had left a few days earlier and we ended up with their three children ages 3, 8
& 10. So this grandpa's time has not been his own for the past week!
I've enclosed a sketch of what I believe you were thinking regarding your project and
which potentially could be used for your building permit application. Certainly it can be
modified if it is not what you were thinking.
Lastly, the cost for the project which includes demo and disposal of existing deck, all
materials and labor to build the deck as drawn, with a 10' X 21' covered area (roofing to
match existing roofing) is $9,750.00 plus Washington State sales tax.

Thanks for your drawing, it looks great. One thing Planning staff needs to verify is setback dimensions. By your scaled
drawing your proposed new deck is well over 5' on the side yard and well over 20' in the back to the property line from
the proposed new deck. We'll continue to process this and get back to as soon as it's done. Should be this week.
