I came down and I was told there was previously a dispenser. I just need to make sure the dispenser and tank comply with the Fire Code. As you are in the business, I am sure you are aware of the distances, I just need to verify. I have the sketch and the table on the following pages. I also need to know what type of impact protection there will be for the tank. The area is pretty tight as you come in and the tank/dispenser will create more congestion. I have a spec on bollards if you need them. • Weeds, grass, brush, trash and other combustibles shall be not less than 10 feet away from the LP-gas tanks or containers. • The other gases in storage use would need to be 25 feet away from the filling area. On the day I was there I was not sure you had the distances • Each industrial plant, and distributing point shall be provided with at least one portable fire extinguisher in accordance with Section 4.7 having a minimum capacity of 18 Ibs with a B:C rating within 30 feet • No smoking signs within 25 ft of filling station 8117 267th Street NW Stanwood,WA 98292 North County Regional Fire Authority Phone:(360)629-2184 ` •, Fax(360)652-3166 www.northcountyfireems.com 30.000 GALLONS EACH UNDERGROUND S,000 GALLONS SO•-0'MINIMUM MINDALAM —5'-0'MINIMLAM STREET 25'-0-MINIMUM i i ® i -No GALLONS ' BUILDWO Y-WMINIMUMJ ® -•---•-.- 10'4r 2S'0' BUILOfJG7-25-4r 1.000 GALLONS 4. Application Designed especially to provide pull-away protection for LP-Gas and p anhydrous ammonia transfer operations including transport and - delivery truck loading and unloading, engine fuel container filling and miscellaneous cylinder filling operations. When properly fastened to ( r the inlet end of the discharge hose, the valve is designed to stop gas escape from both upstream and downstream lines in the event of a pull-away.An excessive tension pull causes the valve to automatically separate, closing two internal back pressure checks.Only a few cubic centimeters of gas escape at the instant of separation. A2141AG It is recommended that a convenient means be provided to safely remove the pressure from the line upstream of each coupling half to enable reassembly of the valve. To reassemble, simply push the male half firmly into the female half until the retaining balls slip into the retaining groove.Check for leaks after reassembly. NOTE: It is recommended that pull-away valves be maintained and -- safety tested perodically to confirm that they will separate properly in the event of a pull-away. Lubrication every six months is essential to the pull-away's operation.Dry nitrogen or other inert gas is suggested as a source of pressure for pull-away tests. If the A2141 pull-away valve is going to be stored for a period of time, A2141 Series such as in seasonal applications, it is recommended that it be sprayed with a good grade of rust-preventive machine oil, A214UUO and covered to protect it from moisture. DIG SEGO 100 Rego Dr.Elon,NC 27244 USA www.regoproducts.com +1(336)449-7707 Application 7554S Series valves provide instant shut-off and fast opening control on LP-Gas crop driers. They are also ideal for charging manifold hoses, stationary fuel transfer hoses and other applications requiring quick, positive shut-off.They are not for use with delivery truck hoses because the handle could snag on the ground and open the valve as the hose is reeled back to the truck. 7554L Series valves feature a locking handle device to help prevent accidental opening of the valve. It is ideal for all the same applications as the 7554S Series and may be used on delivery trucks as it incorporates the locking handle design. Both valve series must be installed so that flow through the valve is opposite to that of a conventional globe valve. This allows the inlet flow to assist in closing the valve and prevents the valve from being opened by high pump pressures. 311" Features 7554S 3• • Quick-acting design speeds transfer operations, permitting rapid, one-handed opening and closing. • Resilient seat disc provides positive shut-off. 3 i16 • Flange seal stem design provides for leak-proof operation. No packing to retighten or replace. • 7554L Series incorporates locking handle to prevent accidental opening of the valve. INLET • Vent valve installed on the downstream side of the valve permits bleeding of trapped product to ensure safe uncoupling. • Swivel seat disc minimizes grinding on the body seat and ensures s longer service life. State-of-the-art Mechanical Shaft Assembly Smith Precision Products Company offers a full line of positive displacement pumps for liquefied gas transfer. Designed for safety and high performance, Smith pumps are unequalled in installations ranging from small capacity cylinder filling to large capacity bulk loading or unloading facilities. Smith Precision Products Company has been designing and manufacturing liquefied gas pumps since 1938 and has Introduced many innovative designs now standard on most liquefied gas pumps. Positive Displacement Gear Design lends to highest efficiency. Smith pumps utilize a high efficiency gear set designed for high performance, minimal slippage, and ease of maintenance. The unique design al- lows for balanced internal loading which greatly increases pump life expectancy. Smith pumps are widely used for applications including cylinder filling, automotive fueling, bulk transfer, vaporizers, high pressure burners and truck applications. Standard base type models are available In 3/4, 1, 1-1/2, 2-1/2, and 4-inch port sizes. Options include threaded housing ports or threaded and/ or weld flanges. Smith pumps utilize a 3-piece mechanical shaft seal designed as an integral part of the pump shaft. This unique feature allows the actual seal ring to rotate at 1/2 the shaft speed, greatly increasing seal life. Also, should mechanical seal replacement ever be necessary In the field, service personnel won't be fumbling around with loose seal components. The Smith mechanical seal is received as a factory tested, assem- bled unit that cannot be taken apart. Additionally, all Smith pumps include an ease of maintenance design that allows the gear set to be replaced WITHOUT Taking the mechanical shaft seal apart. CORKEN- ASEX Coro-Flo® Pumps The Coro-Fio® pump is offered in three different model drive configurations. The C-Model configuration has the pump close coupled to a motor (shown below). The F-Model has a separate pump body and is directly driven through a coupling. And finally, the DS/DL Model pumps are mounted on a special bracket which will accept standard C-face motors. Designed specifically for LPG, the C-Model pump is extremely quiet and free of vibration and pulsation and provides trouble free service and long life for volatile liquids such as LPG.
