WHEREAS, the City Council, together with City staff, conducted a planning retreat
on September 29, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that formally adopting goals and priorities is a
strong management tool and useful for determining if progress is being made as an
organization; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that formalizing its goals and priorities will
help guide future City Council decisions regarding allocation of resources and budget;
11011, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Arlington City Council adopts
the City's current goals and priorities the "City of Arlington 2014 City Council & Departme
Goals", a true copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A". I
