REPLACEMENT COMPONENTS FOR THE FOD BOSS
SWEEPER FOR USE BY THE CITY OF ARLINGTON
AIRPORT
WHEREAS, the City of Arlington Airport operates and maintains the Arlington Airport
runways, taxiways and aprons by using a FOD Boss Sweeper manufactured by Aerosweep; and
WHEREAS, to maintain the Arlington Airport and keep runways, taxiways and aprons
clear of debris using the FOD Boss sweeper, replacement components from a single vendor are
required; and
WHEREAS Myslik, Inc. is the sole representative authorized to sell FOD Boss
components in the United States; and
WHEREAS, RCW 35,23.352(9) permits the waiving of bidding requirements for the
purchase of materials which are clearly and legitimately limited to a single source of supply or
services which are subject to special market conditions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arlington,
as follows:
Section 1: The City Council of the City of Arlington hereby finds that its
infrastructure needs are clearly and legitimately limited to a single source of
supply and therefore waives the bidding requirements for the purchase of new and
replacement components for the FOD Boss Sweeper for use by the City of
Arlington Airport.
Section 2: This resolution will be effective for three (3) years from the date of
adoption.
