HomeMy WebLinkAbout2012-018I Mi 11 =1 � VAN MAINUIRMINI WHEREAS, the Arlington Municipal Airport has a building known as Building 75A, located at 19321 59th Drive NE; and WHEREAS, the building is a metal building constructed in 1978 in generally poor physical condition and require substantial repairs; and WHEREAS, the City believes substantial improvements will be required in the near future which will drain City resources; and WHEREAS, the cost of renovating the buildings and bringing them up to current code is so great that based upon an appraisal and consideration of comparable hangar leases, the Airport Commission has determined that renovating the buildings and constructing new hangars is not economically feasible; and WHEREAS, based on an appraisal report obtained by the Airport, the value of t property is $120,000; and i WHEREAS, an existing subtenant has offered to purchase the building at the appraised rate; and NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arlington Washington do hereby resolve as follows: The City Council finds the building known as Building 75A, located at 19321 59th Drive NE, Arlington, WA to be surplus to the City's needs. 2. Pursuant to AMC 3.70.020, the buildings may be sold pursuant at private sale disposed of in a manner determined by city staff to be the most cost effective, I APPROVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Arlington this 17th day of December, 2012. -
