WHEREAS, the City Council • the City •; • has reviewed the
proposed annexation • property known as the • Charm Annexation; and
WHEREAS, on August 20, 2012, the City Council held a meeting to schedule
future meeting to consider the 10% Petition for Annexation on the Star Annexation; and I
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public meeting on September 4, 2012,
and accepted the 10% Petition for Annexation and allowed the proponent to circulate the 60%
Petition for • and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing • September 17, 2012, t-*
hear testimony concerning the annexation of the properties within the proposed annexation area;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed the staff report concerning the
annexation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the annexation • the property "I -
financially feasible, is appropriate under the Growth Management Act (GMA), and is in the be
interests • the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to have the issue of the proposed annexati-"-
considered by the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board as expeditiously as possible,
the interests • the citizens • the City • Arlington and the residents and business • •i tj
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THI
CITY OF ARLINGTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
1. City staff is hereby directed to prepare and • a Notice of • to Annex the
property described in the Country Charm Annexation petition, together with the
supporting materials and information required • law, to the Snohomish County
Boundary Review Board forthwith.
2. The properties included in the annexation are described in the legal description (Exhibi)
A) and as shown on the vicinity map (Exhibit B).
3. The properties shall have the land use designations and zoning designations as shown on
Exhibits C & D, respectively.
4. The properties included in the annexation shall assume their proportionate share of the
City's indebtedness.
