Sonya, Brenda, Scott, and Vicky,
On the Abbatare 12,000 sf commercial hangar building permit submittal (07-7551)the engineering calculations do
not have an wetstamp on them. They need to be contacted regarding this. I sent a cross connection survey to
them today since one was not included in the submittal. Also, Sherri Phelps would like to be notified prior to this
building receiving its Certificate of Occupancy so that she can send business license applications to the owner. I
was not able to input this in Permit Trax since I do not know the address or the tax parcel ID.

Punch List: December 1, 2008
Road
Contractor should core various areas of roadway including over utility trenches to
show proof of asphalt thickness, sub grade thickness and also do compaction testing.
Sections of sidewalk that appear to be installed sub standard, some areas of
concrete are only 2 inches thick, others appear to have no gravel base.These areas
should be removed and new sidewalk installed.
Truncated domes at wheel chair ramps per WSDOT and ADA requirements.
Doweling/Epoxy for extruded curbing. As per city standards, anchoring or epoxy is
required to the side of every joint.
Sewer
All Sewer Lines to be Jet Vactored.
Large amount of rock must be removed from atop EX. Tie- IN manhole for full
inspection of inside drop connection.
All Manholes on-site must be removed from asphalt and re-installed per City of
Arlington Standards and Specifications.
There are currently exposed clean-outs that are allowing unapproved debris into the
system that need to be capped below existing grade.
24 hour notice and on-site meeting is required to get this project back on course prior
to any corrections to be made.

repairs and concerns.
Water
Valve cans for the hot tap, fire hydrant and fire line need to be secured in a 2' x 2' x 4"
concrete pad set above finish grade and centered on the operating nut.
The valve can at the entrance has been paved over. This valve can needs to be brought
to finished grade or higher and centered on the operating nut.
Check all remaining valve cans for alignment (centered)with the operating nut.
All services need to be to City of Arlington Standard (COA). After services are repaired
they will need to be re-tested to 150 psi. Pressure test will be done in the presence of a
COA Water Department representative. 48 hour notice will be required.
The east fire hydrant in planter is 12"to low.
Turn hydrant so "Pumper" ports are oriented properly and install "Stortz"fittings.

Onsite for a bolting inspection on (3) steel frame buildings. Upon completion of bolting
installation, Buildings 17713, 17725 and 17804 were inspected using the calibrated wrench
method. An MTE-issued torque wrench with current calibration date was used to verify proper
torque. Primary members were secured with 1" A325 high-strength bolts at 570 foot-pounds of
torque. Secondary members were secured with 3/4" A325 high-strength bolts at 350 foot-pounds
of torque. All bolts were found to have proper tensioning and met AISC and job specs.
To the best of our knowledge, items inspected this date are in accordance with approved plans
and specifications.

We have completed our review of the Aircraft Hanger for Lot 402 at the Arlington
Airpark. The plans are in substantial compliance with the 2006 International Building
Code.
The plans are approved and are being returned with our indication of review on
them.
STRUCTURAL
1. There were no calculations submitted for the foundation system. Based on my
own review the plans are acceptable. However, special inspection should be
required for the concrete in the foundations.
2. 1 have indicated the anchor bolt diameter required at the different column lines
based on the engineering calculations.
3. Seismic ties are required for the stirrups shown in A/F-2. I have added a note to
the plans.
