French Street The fire sprinkler documents submitted with building permit#07-7280 have been reviewed for compliance with Utilities Division regulations. The following actions should be taken, but a re- submittal is not required. 1 The new sprinkler addition is connecting to a fire system that does NOT have an approved backflow assembly. Install a DCVA (Double Check Valve Assembly), at the point of connection with the public water system. 2 The assembly shall appear on the State of Washington Department of Health list of approved assemblies. 3 All the assemblies shall be tested by a State of Washington certified Backflow Assembly Tester, at owner's own expense. 4 The assembly shall be installed per City of Arlington standards. 5 The City of Arlington Water Department shall inspect the Assembly after it has been tested. Vernon, WA. The plan is approved subject to field inspection and the following: I. All new work is subject to a 200 psi hydrostatic test. 2. The Dry automatic sprinkler system shall be trip tested and water shall arrive at the inspectors test within 60 seconds. 3. The automatic sprinkler system shall be monitored by a UL listed Central Station that has a UUFX listing. If the monitoring company is located out of the area, a local on-call company shall be available to respond. 4. It has been disclosed that there is no current back flow preventor on the existing automatic sprinkler. This condition shall be addressed with the City Utilities Dept.
