Support structure will be fastened to underlying steel supports and all roof penetrations will be sealed. Condensing units will be mounted 20' or more from roof edge. 1) 3 Primary supports will be cut from pressure treated 6x8 stock to accommodate a 1 in12 roof pitch, span the steel support structure and provide weight distribution. 2) 3 cross members will be cut from 4x4" pressure treated stock to incorporate primary supports, elevate equipment and provide appropriate unit mounting locations. 3) Hot Dip galvanized or stainless fasteners will be used and cuts that expose lumber interior will be treated with copper napthenate wood preservative. 4) Roof penetration for copper refrigerant lines and will be sealed with a flexible insulating flashing and caulking formulated to adhere to galvanized steel. 5) Refrigerant lines and control wires will will be properly insulated, protected from UV damage and mounted on elevated blocks.
