The plan submitted is extremely hard to read, is not to any scale and does not reflect all of the room dimensions. The plan is not approved until the contractor provides the following information: 1. A wiring schematic shall be provided that shows the actual run of wire between devices and indicates the location of the end of line resistors. 2. The actual model numbers of the smoke detectors, heat detectors and beam detector shall be provided. 3. The candela rating of all horn/strobe devices shall be indicated at the device. 4. Clarify what the remote test is for. 5. It appears that a smoke detector is to be installed in the kitchen. Please clarify. 6. The classrooms show strobes only. Be advised that the NFPA 72 audibility standards must be met throughout. 7. The standard fire alarm sound shall be the "temporal pattern". 8. The fire alarm system shall be monitored by an approved central station having a UUFX listing by UL. If the travel distance exceeds one hour, a local alarm company shall be designated as on call. 9. All horn/strobes shall meet the NFPA candela spacing requirements. 10. In-line terminals with SEMS screws Installation ease. The i3 line redefines installation ease with its plug-in design. This allows an installer to pre-wire the bases included with the heads. The large Mounts to octagonal and single-gang wire entry port and in-line terminals provide ample room for neatly routing the baekboxes, 4-square baekboxes, or wiring inside the base. The base accommodates a variety of back box mounting direct to ceiling methods as well as direct mounting with drywall anchors. To complete the installation,i3 heads plug-in to the base with a simple Stop-Drop 'N Lock Stop-Drop 'N Lock-attachment to base action. Removable detector cover and chamber Intelligence. i3 detectors offer a number of intelligent features to simplify for easy cleaning testing and maintenance.Drift compensation and smoothing algorithms are standard with the i3 line,to minimize nuisance alarms. When connected to the Built-In remote maintenance signaling 2W MOD loop test/maintenance module, or a panel equipped with the i3 Drift compensation and smoothing protocol,2-wire i3 detectors are capable of generating a remote maintenance algorithms signal when they are in need of cleaning. This signal is indicated via an LED located at the module and the panel. To read the sensitivity of i3 detectors, the Simplified sensitivity measurement SENS-RDR is a wireless device that displays the sensitivity in terms of percent per foot obscuration. Wide angle, dual color LED Indication Instant Inspection. The i3 series provides wide angle red and green LED indica- Loop testing via EZ Walk feature tors for instant inspection of the detector condition, indicating: normal standby, out-of-sensitivity,alarm,or freeze trouble conditions. When connected to the Built-in test switch 2W MOD loop testhnaintenance module or a panel with the i3 protocol, the EZ Walk loop test feature is available on 2-wire i3 detectors. This feature MEA MSFM verifies the initiating loop wiring by providing LED status indication at each LISTED approved approved detector. 1 + C, c tin0 C? Large wire entry port In-line terminals with SEMS screws Installation ease. The i3 line redefines installation ease with its plug-in design. This allows an installer to pre-wire the bases included with the heads. The large Mounts to octagonal and single-gang wire entry port and in-line terminals provide ample room for neatly routing the backboxes, 4-square backboxes, or wiring inside the base. The base accommodates a variety of back box mounting direct to ceiling methods as well as direct mounting with drywall anchors. To complete the installation, i3 heads plug-in to the base with a simple Stop-Drop 'N Lock Stop-Drop'N Lock-attachment to base action. Removable detector cover and chamber Intelligence. i3 detectors offer a number of intelligent features to simplify for easy cleaning testing and maintenance. Drift compensation and smoothing algorithms are standard with the i3 line,to minimize nuisance alarms. When connected to the Built-in remote maintenance signaling 2W-MOD2 loop test/maintenance module, or a panel equipped with the i3 protocol,2-wire i3 detectors are capable of generating a remote maintenance Drift compensation and smoothing signal when they are in need of cleaning. This signal is indicated via an LED algorithms located at the module and the panel. To read the sensitivity of i3 detectors, the Simplified sensitivity measurement SENS-RDR is a wireless device that displays the sensitivity in terms of percent per foot obscuration. TAMPER/TROUBLE OUTPUT One Normally Closed contact rated 1 Amp,60 VDC maximum for resistive loads and open when cover is removed, power is lost,or beam is blocked. SIGNAL PROCESSING Automatic Signal Synchronization eliminates the need for a synchronization wire.Self- compensating circuitry compensates for signal loss due to dust or dirt buildup on lens and signals a trouble condition upon signal loss of 50%. OPERATION The transmitter emits an invisible pulsed infrared beam to the receiver. If the beam is obscured beyond the selected threshold by smoke, the receiver signals an alarm. If the beam is completely blocked, the receiver signals a trouble. ALARM RESPONSE SELECTIVITY Eight(8)sensitivity settings are available.Selectable response time of 5 or 30 seconds. STORAGE&OPERATING TEMPERATURE -22-to+130'F/-30'to+55°C. Product Overview Plug-In detector line—mounting base System Sensor's 13-series smoke detectors represent a significant advancement In Included conventional detection. The 13 family is founded on three principles: Installation Large wire entry port ease, Intelligence, and Instant Inspection. In-line terminals with SEMS screws Installation ease. The i3 line redefines installation ease with its plug-in design. This allows an installer to pre-wire the bases included with the heads. The large Mounts to octagonal and single-gang wire entry port and in-line terminals provide ample room for neatly routing the backboxes, 4-square backboxes, or wiring inside the base. The base accommodates a variety of back box mounting direct to telling methods as well as direct mounting with drywall anchors. To complete the installation,i3 heads plug-in to the base with a simple Stop-Drop'N Lock Stop-Drop 'N Lock"attachment to base action. Removable detector cover and chamber Intelligence.i3 detectors offer a number of intelligent features to simplify for easy cleaning testing and maintenance. Drift compensation and smoothing algorithms are standard with the i3 line, to minimize nuisance alarms. When connected to the Built-in remote maintenance signaling 2W-MOD loop test/maintenance module, or a panel equipped with the i3 Drift compensation and smoothing protocol, 2-wire i3 detectors are capable of generating a remote maintenance algorithms signal when they are in need of cleaning. When connected to the Built-in test switch 2W MOD loop tesdmaintenance module or a panel with the i3 protocol, the EZ Walk loop test feature is available on 2-wire i3 detectors. This feature LISTED F. MEA M.%M verifies the initiating loop wiring by providing LED status indication at each approved approved detector. r Or 14- IC ®aZtr U M M !
