LaTourelle AICP DATE: 9-11-87 SUBJ: WESTAR LOT 28A & 28C SITE IMPROVEMENTS I met with Westar the day following our meeting and approval of the site plans for lots 28A and 28C. Westar has accepted all the required modifications. I have also met with them and a local nurseryman on the landscaping. Westar intends to transplant some large evergreens from the West side of the airport to appropriate locations around the buildings . They have been very successful in moving very large trees . I also discussed at some length, the truck turn-around on lot 28C. Although they are willing to fulfill the requirement as approved by the Commission they asked us to consider a turn- around pocket on the small lot on 189th Pl . , south of 28C and east of 28A. I recommend we permit that use of the small lot on a temporary basis. My reasons for this recommendation are: 1 . The easement on 28C may cause some problem between the tenants in the future. 2 . The area to be used on the small lot has no trees and will not disturb the greenbelt. 3. The alignment of the truck turn-around is better on the small lot than on 28C. 4. If the Airport wished to use the small lot, 189th Pl would have to be improved. Once that was done, the trucks from 28A could exit on to 189th Pl . as Westar originally planned. If you have no questions or objections , I will advise Westar they may use a small part of the adjoining lot for truck maneuvering and that the permission is revocable on demand. Please give me a call if you would like to discuss this proposal . 1 ■ J7 ■ 1 NNE YU I :JI ■ 11 T ■ L•■ '. E06 .J : 1 I - ■ AJ7 `M4 Y NO. ■1 1 19 1 - Imo [ m Ir w .
