Dear Mr. Weller, I have reviewed the attached drawings and petition in regards to your request to reduce the front yard set back on Lot 9, Burgoyne Plat, City of Arlington and located at Street address, 1045 Robinhood Drive. Under Section 20.14.020(e), of the Arlington Municipal Code the City Supervisor has the authority to reduce yard requirements up to 50%. Based on review of the subject property, attached drawings and petition, gout request in APPROVED with the following conditions: 1. This request allows a maximum reduction of 10 feet of the required front yard set back of 20 feet. The garage or carport must line. be a minimum of 10 feet from the City's right-of-way 2. This approval is subject to the garage or carport being constructed in the location shown On the attached drawings. 3. That the garage or carport be as low in height as possible and as shown on the attached drawings. 4. That the conditions listed in the attached petition and signed by all property owners on Robinhood Drive becaomes,a condition of approval. Joe and Dolores Weller, property owners and Robert and Janet Schmitt, conditional purchasers of the referenced property, described as 1045 Robinghood Drive or Lot 9, Burgoyne Plat, City of Arlington have entered into an agreement that is contingent on the ability of the conditional purchasers to obtain permission from the City for a variance that will allow the construction of a garage or carport on the existing concrete slab driveway. That garage or carport will be 16' X 19' and will require approximately 10' of the required 20' setback from the street be utilized for the structure. There will remain 20' of drive between the existing curb and the structure. The garage or carport will be as low in height as$- possible. It will have the same roof pitch as the existing roof, will be of the same construction as the existing house, i.e. shake roof, rock trim, etc. In the opinion of the purchasers, this addition will enhance the appearance of theexisting house and will not impinge on the line of sight of any of the neighboring properties. This Petition will be transmitted to the City of Arlington as supporting evidence for the request for a variance of 10 feet from the existing 20 foot setback requirement for this one structure only.
