System should be provided with a water flow switches for central station alarm or other approved means to provide a tamperproof signal should be provided. 10. Sprinkler systems should be supervised by an approved central station. 11. The building plans should show all structural elements that effect the placement of sprinkler heads. 12. Details should be provided to show how vertical and lateral sway braces are connected to the structure and the type and size of connection device. 13. The installation of the underground supply piping should conform to NFPA 24. 14. All required acceptance testing should be performed by the installer in accordance with NFPA 13 1-11 including: (a) Systems should be hydrostatically tested at 200 psi for two hours in accordance with NFPA 13 1-11.2. (b) Dry system should be air tested at 40 psi for 24 hours in accordance with N-TA 13 1-11.3.2. (c) An operating test of dry pipe valve should be conducted in accordance with N-TA 13 1-11.3.3. The results of these tests and all other required tests should be recorded on a Contractor's Material and Test Certificate. 15. The Z members should be designed in addition to all other loads for a concentrated load of 250# plus the tributary weight of the sprinkler pipe (full). I am returning all data and plans to you and sending a copy of this list directly to the designer to facilitate the plan review process.
