Thank you for your submittal and interest in the City of Arlington. I cannot approve your plans at this time as I have the
following clarifications and or corrections that need to be identified prior to plan approvals being granted. Please
respond to my comments in like fashion,thank you.
1. Sheet A4—Please provide note that all doors shall comply with ICC A117.1-2009§404.2.6 for graspable locksets.
i) Please understand that panic hardware is not required in an F-1 per IBC 1010.10. Please revise plan sets to
include item 1 above for these locations
ii) Egress lamination signage is to be site verified once build out is well underway to identify travel pathways. It
is unclear to this reviewer that all exit pathways will be identified.
2. S1—Provide for the requirement of IBC 718.2.2 for fire blocking in combustible construction in furred spaces.
3. S2—Provide sheet S3 per callouts on sheet S2.
i) Please provide engineering calculations for all locations where there is a proposed door way cut into an
existing tilt concrete panel. (2) locations.

Thank you for your submittal and interest in the City of Arlington. I cannot approve your plans at this time as I have the
following clarifications and or corrections that need to be identified prior to plan approvals being granted. Please
respond to my comments in like fashion,thank you.
1. Sheet A4—Please provide note that all doors shall comply with ICC A117.1-2009 §404.2.6 for graspable locksets.
i) Please understand that panic hardware is not required in an F-1 per IBC 1010.10. Please revise plan sets to
include item 1 above for these locations
ii) Egress lamination signage is to be site verified once build out is well underway to identify travel pathways. It
is unclear to this reviewer that all exit pathways will be identified.
2. S1—Provide for the requirement of IBC 718.2.2 for fire blocking in combustible construction in furred spaces.
3. S2—Provide sheet S3 per callouts on sheet S2.
i) Please provide engineering calculations for all locations where there is a proposed door way cut into an
existing tilt concrete panel. (2) locations.
