I work 12 hour shifts and have not had the chance to get to this until now. The revisions (46 beam at splice and move 44, etc) look totally fine. I hope to get the material Monday 7-30- 07. Do I need to bring in a revised drawing? Another question we have is: what is the maximum distance we can have between the 44 support beams? I believe I heard 8'was the max. If so, I'd actually like to put the 4x4 we are moving close to the 46 (for aesthetic reasons, and to allow a wide space to put lawn furniture under...) I'll be checking email a various points throughout the day as it is my day off. You do not need to submit a revised drawing. If you construct the deck according to the redlines that I sent, then it should be fine. With respect to your question on the maximum distance between the 4x4 support beams: the 4x4 support beams need to go to the stair side of the deck. The maximum distance between the 4x4 and 4x6 is 7 feet due to the cantilever for the steps. If you construct it this way a revised drawing is also not necessary. Please let me know if you need any clarification. If you construct it either of these ways it is fine; I will print the permit for you to pick up.
