Emergency Egress Lighting a. Blake Electric will install new emergency egress signs with emergency lights (per the attached cut sheets) above the exit doors noted in the plan. These signs will include the emergency lights at the door location as well as a remote emergency light that will provide additional light along the egress path. Upon completing the installation of the emergency exit fixtures, Blake Electric will request a site visit by the City of Arlington to review the installation. 2. Portable Fire Extinguishers a. Per 2015 International Fire Code, Portable Fire Extinguishers will be provided within a 50-foot travel distance of any machine producing shavings or sawdust. b. Per 2018 IBC, the WFP Arlington Mill poses should be classified as a Class A Moderate Fire Hazard and requires the following: i. Minimum rated single extinguisher: 2-A ii. Maximum floor area per unit of A: 1,500 SF iii. Maximum floor area for extinguisher: 11,250 SF iv. Maximum travel distance to extinguisher: 75 FT c. Required Fire Extinguishers: i. A minimum of twenty-three (23) fire extinguishers are required across Buildings A, B, C, D, North Storage, South Storage, Planer East and Planer West. More fire extinguishers are required in areas where saw dust is present, so the fire extinguishers in Planer East and Planer West shall be organized so that there is not a travel distance longer than 50 feet. ii. A minimum of two (2) fire extinguishers must be provided in Building E. iii. Please see the revised fire G202 sheet noting the recommended locations for the fire extinguishers. \\ysv78\cad data\jra_wfpar\docs\4_code\4.3_ahj_submittals\2018.10.30 wfm permit submittal-egress analysis\2018.11.06 revision 1\2018.11.06 wfp arlington egress analysis -revision 1.docx Page 1 http://www.cushingterrell.com E-mail:info@ctagroup.com SustainabLEDesign Small size - Equal performance ,.,,, Advanced LED Technology provides for reduced size and remote head Capability Affordable LED emergency lighting • Single and dual head LED remote units available a Size reductions up to 75% of traditional units r Enhanced aesthetics with thin profile design • Compact design allows existing shelf space to carry project-level inventory Ap Series All-Pro Exit Signs and Emergency Lighting 0 Thermoplastic Ex1 11 .stic Exit/Emergency Combo .a APEL APR ,r Thermoplastic 1'ncy Light Thermoplastic1 1• Light All-Pro Improvements LED Technology Damp Location Listed Enhanced Aesthetics The AP Series uses energy-efficient, AP Series exit sign, emergency light The new All-Pro design has been long-life LEDs to provide uniform, and remote units are damp location enhanced to include thin profiles for diffuse illumination to the exit face, and listed and constructed to operate within both exit signs and emergency lights. egress illumination from the emergency a wide range of temperatures from 10°C lights. The All-Pro LED heads are 3.6 to 40'C.
