12/19/2019 FIRE SPRINKLER BUILDING
1. Permit and set of approved plans to remain on site
during installation.
2. Significant deviations from approved plans made during
installation shall be required to be resubmitted for review
prior to inspections: may include hangers, earthquake
bracing, sprinkler locations and pipe re-routing that could
impact hydraulic calculations. Failure to submit revisions
could result in cancellation of an inspection while a review
of an as-built resubmittal is conducted.
3. Cover inspection required.
4. Hydrostatic test for wet and dry systems required: 200
psi for 2 hours minimum.
5. Pneumatic air test for dry systems required: 40 psi for

24 hours minimum.
6. Weatherproof horn strobes shall be installed in lieu of
electric bells on exterior of buildings. Horn strobes shall
be installed above sprinkler riser room doors for each
building.
7. Any mechanical tee cut-outs shall be tied to sprinkler
piping and be visible at time of cover inspection.
8. Sprinkler system Contractor’s Material and Test
Certificate shall be submitted prior to close out of permit.
9. Owner shall be provided with a set of approved plans
and associated documents for their files.
10. Call at least 48 hours in advance to schedule
inspections.
A DCVA is required at Point of Connection.
