Subject: Project Narrative for R+L Carriers for Design Review
Dear Design Review Board Members,
R+L Carriers intends to build a new terminal facility on an undeveloped parcel (#31051400302900) of approximately 9.43 acres
located at the corner of 68th DR NE & 191st PL NE.
The facility will include a 60 door truck terminal of approximately 40,000 square feet with an attached 5,000 square foot office, a
two lane fueling station of approximately 1,300 square feet, and a four bay maintenance shop building with office areas of
approximately 9,540 square feet. Building construction will be pre-engineered metal building walls and roof and dock-high
concrete slab floors at terminal side of the Terminal/Office building. The office side of the building will be pre-engineered metal
building walls with EIFS assembly and roof. The four bay maintenance shop building will be pre-engineered metal building walls
and roof and 2 truck service pits. The two lane fueling station will be pre-engineered metal building canopy over the concrete
fueling island.
The site will include truck maneuvering and parking areas, staff and visitor parking, and truck scale area, and a permeable
stormwater management landscaping area required by local codes. Access to the site will be off of 68th DR NE.
