Councilmembers Present: Heather Logan, Rob Toyer, Debora Nelson, Michele Blythe,
Yvonne Gallardo-Van Ornam, Leisha Nobach, and Jan Schuette.
Council Members Absent: None.
Staff Present: Mayor Don Vanney, Paul Ellis, Sarah Lopez, Amy Rusko, Marty Wray, Josh
Grindy, Bryan Terry, Peter Barrett, and Wendy Van Der Meersche.
Also Known to be Present: Kathy Vanney, Heather Watland, Randy Nobach, Nathan Senff,
Kim Casteel, Nora Casteel, Tim Abrahamson, and Joe Beardslee.
Mayor Don Vanney called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm, and the Pledge of Allegiance and
roll call followed.
APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA
Mayor Pro Tem Michele Blythe moved to approve the agenda as presented. Councilmember
Rob Toyer seconded the motion, which passed with a unanimous vote.
INTRODUCTION OF SPECIAL GUESTS AND PRESENTATIONS
None.
WORKSHOP ITEMS - NO ACTION WAS TAKEN
Smokey Point Community Park Phase I Final Acceptance
Community and Economic Development Director Amy Rusko reviewed the final acceptance
of Phase I of the Smokey Point Community Park. Discussion followed with Ms. Rusko
answering Council questions.
July and August Financial Reports
City Administrator Paul Ellis reviewed July and August's reports. Discussion followed with
Mr. Ellis answering Council questions.
Community Engagement Quarterly Report
Community Engagement Director Sarah Lopez showed a short video of Meet Me in
Arlington and reviewed the third quarter report. Discussion followed with Ms. Lopez
answering Council questions.

Airport Quarterly Report
Airport Director Marty Wray reviewed the third quarter report. Discussion followed with
Mr. Wray answering Council questions.
Maintenance and Operations Quarterly Report
Maintenance and Operations Manager Josh Grindy reviewed the third quarter report.
Discussion followed with Mr. Grindy answering Council questions.
ADMINISTRATOR AND STAFF REPORTS
City Administrator Paul Ellis reminded Council that September 29 is the fifth Monday, so
there is no Council meeting. The next meeting is October 6. The retreat will be Friday,
October 3.
MAYOR'S REPORT
Mayor Vanney thanked staff responsible for all the recent community events.

Councilmembers had nothing to report this evening.
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
REVIEW OF CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING
Only one item is moving to the October 6 meeting, and that will be on new business.

None.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 6:36 p.m.
