ADHESIVE ANCHOR INSPECTION REPORT
PROJECT: The Villas at Arlington JOB #: 18-0760
CLIENT: Villas at Arlington Partners LLLP REPORT #: AA010
CONTRACTOR: Exxel Pacific PAGE #: 2 of 2
The picture shows the
reinforcement at an interior
footing intersection with the
building's perimeter
foundation.
At a couple of locations, the
vapor barrier was removed
and the insulation was cut
back to better match the
footing dimensions and
provide additional clearance
below the reinforcement. The
vapor barrier was then
reinstalled.
At this intersection the vapor
barrier was loose. The
contractor pushed the taped
area shown at the left side of
the photo away from the
epoxied dowel and added tape
to the foundation

TOG - Top of Existing Grade.
Tests for Building D were conducted near the proposed subgrade elevation for the building.
Tests for Building F were conducted at approximately -2.5’ from proposed subgrade elevation
(according to the contractor)
GeoTest Services was on-site to provide in-place soil density and moisture testing on structural
fill that had been placed and compacted within the building footprint for Buildings D and F.
Compaction tests had attained the required compaction within the Building F footprint but had
not attained the required compaction within the Building D footprint. Structural fill within
Building Pad D was generally over the optimum moisture contents.
This test report has been marked discrepant because structural fill placed within the Building D
footprint had failed to attain the required compaction.

GeoTest was onsite, as requested to provide in-place density testing on the structural fill of the
building pads for buildings D and F.
Prior to GeoTest’s arrival, the structural fill had been placed and partially compacted. While
GeoTest was on site, the structural fill of building F was compacted with an Ingersollrand
SD-70D single drum vibrating roller. All tests met compaction requirements.
GeoTest noted that pumping underfoot was felt on the western section of building pad D.
Pumping was observed with light foot traffic.

GeoTest was on-site as requested to provide in-place density testing at the above locations. All
locations and elevations are approximate and were provided by the contractor.
Tests 1 - 4 were taken at the request of the contractor on Building Pad P (Figure1). Prior to our
arrival, the soil in these areas had been re-worked and compacted with a plate compactor, per
the contractor. The material that was tested was comprised of mostly native fill. Tests 5-10
were taken on imported, graded, and compacted structural fill for Building Pads F and G.
Compaction was achieved in these areas with a single-drum vibratory roller.
All tests taken on this date met compaction requirements. These compacted soils exhibited
firm and unyielding conditions with optimum moisture contents.
GeoTest will return for further inspection and observation as requested.

INSPECTION OF:
Reinforcing Steel Placement - Building F
Comments: GeoTest was on site as requested to inspect the placement of the reinforcing steel at the following
location.
Building F: Slab on grade with interior wall footings and interior column pads.
The steel reinforcement was in place and except for the following item was found to be in conformance with
the project structural drawings.
At some edge locations, the first bar running adjacent with the stem wall is 10 to 16 inches off the wall.
The first bar off the stem wall needs to be within a few inches of the edge of the wall. The contractor was
notified of this issue.
