stem walls and plinth bases reinforcing steel was reviewed in accordance with details 7 and
12/S4.1 respectively. The building C footing rebar was reviewed per schedule on S3.1. To the
best of our knowledge, all items inspected this day were found to be in conformance with
approved plans and drawings.

GeoTest was on-site as requested to provide in-place density testing on imported structural fill
for Building B’s building pad (Figure 1). All locations and elevations are approximate and were
provided by the contractor. Elevations are relative to slab subgrade.
Material from East Valley S & G (D-355) was placed via dump-truck, graded with a dozer, and
compacted with a medium sized vibratory roller in 12-inch lifts (Figure 2). Sample 4327A was
taken on-site from these stockpiles for laboratory testing (Figure 3).
It should be noted that the moisture contents of the imported material were above optimum
upon its arrival to the site. With satisfying in-place density results, some areas of the pad
exhibitted signs of yielding due to saturation as well as vibratory rolling. The contractor is
aware of these field conditions.
It is GeoTest's recommendation that these soils be allowed time to dry and become firmer prior
to placement of slabs on grade. Stem wall footing pads will be excavated through this material
into native soils and therefore not dependent on imported fill in most areas. These areas will be
inspected by a different entity.
GeoTest will return for further inspection and observation as requested.
