The following items should be corrected on the tracings before the permit is issued and resubmitted to me: 1 . You should ensure that the city agencies such as Planning, Zoning, Public Works and the Fire Department approve of the project. 2. The fabricator of the roof trusses should be approved by you prior to fabrication. Sec. 302(b) . 3. The manufacturer's truss layout should be submitted prior to the permit being issued. Sec. 302(b) . 4. David: The drawings specify Simpson STC clips in the General Notes. You should check them in the field inspections. 5. The separation of the garage from the house should include: Sec. 503(d)3. a), The wall protection should continue through the porch area. b) The columns in the walls should be protected. c) The floor of the appliances should be 2 layers of plywood. Footnote 14, Table 43-C. d) Two layers of 5/8" type "X" GWB should be applied to the ceiling framing at 24" o.c. if it is to be a part of the 1-hour separation. Item 21-1 . 1, Table 43-C. i e) The garage door should be 1-3/8" thick. Sec. 503(d)3. f) All duct work in the garage should be 26 gauge with no openings in the garage. The structural specifications in the "General Notes" callnfor H.F.#2, but the details require D.F.#2. The H.F. note should be deleted. D.F.#2 is required for some of the headers. 9. Delete the 3 car garage option. 10. The maximum floor span for 2"x10" joists at 16" o.c. is 15' -8" center to center of supports. The Joists over the garage are exceeding the maximum span. 11 .
