A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ARLINGTON, WASHINGTON, SUPPORTING THE EFFORTS
OF THE ARLINGTON SCHOOL DISTRICT TO PROVIDE SAFE LEARNING FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the Arlington City Council fully supports the Arlington School District's efforts
to provide safe and secure learning facilities for the students, teachers, and staff of the district;
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that quality school facilities are essential to a
community's quality of life, contribute significantly to the community's sense of pride, and
enhance the educational environment for children;
WHEREAS, the Arlington City Council discussed the adoption of this resolution during its
regular meeting on February 3, 2025, and considered public input on the matter;
WHEREAS, the Council believes that adopting this resolution is in the best interest of the
citizens of Arlington and demonstrates the City's commitment to supporting the Arlington
School District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arlington as follows:
The City of Arlington hereby expresses its strong support for the Arlington School
District's efforts to provide safe, secure, and modern learning facilities for the benefit of
students, teachers, staff, and the broader community.
APPROVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Arlington this 3rd day of
February, 2025.
