Re: Fire Emergency Radio Shop Drawing Review Comments/Approval
The Arlington Fire Department has completed a review of the Fire Alarm shop drawing submittal and approves the
issuance of the permit with the following conditions:
1. Permit and set of approved plans to remain on site during installation. Installers shall present NICET II certification
upon request.
2. Battery load test required, switch system to battery operation 24-hours prior to final inspection.
3. Trouble condition to be verified for circuits.
4. Furnish a written statement to the Arlington Fire Department stating that the system has been installed in accordance
with the approved plans and tested in accordance with the manufacturer’s published instructions and appropriate
NFPA requirements prior to scheduling an inspection.
5. Full operational acceptance test required.
6. Record of completion form shall be submitted prior to project close-out.
Items noted above are conditions on the issued permit and shall be verified as part of the final inspection of the system at
project completion. Final approval will not be provided until all conditions are verified. Call at least 48 hours in advance to
schedule an inspection.
