HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2022-006 A Resolution Regarding the Proposed Vacation of a Portion of Unopened Right of Way (Alley) Located Along the West Side of Block 3 Lots 2, 3, 4, Plat of Wrage Addition RESOLUTION NO. 2022-006 A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE PROPOSED VACATION OF A PORTION OF UNOPENED RIGHT OF WAY (ALLEY) LOCATED ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF BLOCK 3 LOTS 2, 3, 4, PLAT OF WRAGE ADDITION TO ARLINGTON WHEREAS, the City of Arlington has identified an unopened portion of public right of way (alley) located along the west side of Block 3 Lots 2, 3, 4 Plat of Wrage Addition to Arlington; and WHEREAS, the Stillaguamish Square LLP is the sole ownership of property on three sides of the alley; and WHEREAS, the City has determined that the alley is no longer necessary to the City's operation; and NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arlington Washington does hereby resolve as follows: 1. City Council directs city staff to refer the above alley vacation to the planning commission for its review. 2. A public hearing shall be scheduled before the City Council, as required by RCW Chapter 35.79 and the Arlington Municipal Code sections 3.70.030 and 12.18.050 at the regular meeting of the City Council not less than twenty calendar days or more than sixty calendar days after the date of passage of the resolution. 3. City Council requires the petitioner to obtain, at petitioner's expense, an appraisal by an appraiser acceptable to the city.
