A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ARLINGTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL PROJECT GRANT FUNDING FOR
WIDENING OF 51ST AVENUE NE FROM 172ND STREET NE TO 160TH STREET NE
WHEREAS,the City of Arlington has developed a list of transportation and park capital
projects for which the City needs funding; and
WHEREAS, funding may be available for this capital project from the federal government;
WHEREAS,the City wishes to apply for federal funding for this project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Arlington considers it in the best public interest to make application
for grant funding for the below noted project;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arlington, Washington,
as follows:
1. That the Public Works Director, or his/her designee, is hereby authorized to submit an
application to Community Project Funding for and on behalf of the City of Arlington, for
the following project: Widening of 515Y Avenue NE from 172"d Street NE to 160th Street
NE; and
2. That the Public Works Director is hereby further authorized to provide such additional
information as may be necessary to secure approval of such application; and
3. That this Resolution shall be effective upon passage and signatures hereon in
accordance with law.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Arlington, at its regular meeting held this 5th
day of April, 2021.
