A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ARLINGTON
DESIGNATING AN AGENT FOR RECEIPT OF CLAIMS AND
REPEALING RESOLUTION 801
WHEREAS, RCW 4.96.020 requires that local agencies appoint and publicly
identify a designated claims agent, whose responsibility is to serve as the person
authorized to receive claims against the City during regular business hours on behalf of
the City; and
WHEREAS, the City of Arlington wishes to update its existing designation to
comply with the requirements of state law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arlington,
as follows:
1. The following person or officer is hereby designated as the City's
designated claims agent under RCW 4.96.020, and shall carry out those responsibilities
consistent with the requirements of state law, effective starting January 7, 2019:
Arlington City Clerk
238 N. Olympic Avenue
Arlington, WA 98223
2. The City shall record a copy of this resolution with the Snohomish County
Auditor as required by law.
3. Resolution 801 designating the City's prior claims agent, is repealed,
effective January 7, 2019.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Arlington at its regular meeting
held this 71h day of January, 2019.
