Mayor Tolbert called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and the pledge of allegiance followed.
APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA
Chris Raezer moved to approve the Agenda. Debora Nelson seconded the motion which passed with a
unanimous vote.
INTRODUCTIONS OF SPECIAL GUESTS AND PRESENTATIONS
PROCLAMATIONS
PUBLIC COMMENT
Kevin Duncan spoke regarding the Airport Commission and the Open Public Meetings Act. Mr. Duncan
provided a handout to Council titled "Before the City of Arlington Council Meeting January 5, 2015."
CONSENT AGENDA
Chris Raezer moved and Marilyn Oertle seconded the motion to approve the following Consent Agenda
items:
1. Minutes of the December 15, 2014 Council Meeting
2. Accounts Payable: EFT Payments & Claims Checks #83465 through #83563 dated December
16, 2014 through December 30, 2014 for $362,775.23. Approval of EFT Payments and Claim
Checks #83564 through #83589 for $56,536.12. Approval of EFT Payments and Payroll Checks
#28270 through #28284 for the period December 1, 2014 through December 30, 2014 for
$1,272,473.24.

NEW BUSINESS
Reappointment of Granite Falls Councilmember Ashworth to the Snohomish Health District Board.
Human Resources & Communications Director Kristin Banfield spoke to the reappointment of Suzie
Ashworth to the Snohomish Health District Board and answered council questions.
Chris Raezer moved and Debora Nelson seconded the motion to approve the selection of
Councilmember Suzie Ashworth, City of Granite Falls, to serve as Snohomish Health District Board of
Health representative for all small cities in County Council District #1. The motion was approved by a
unanimous vote.
ADMINISTRATOR & STAFF REPORTS
Paul Ellis spoke to the request to schedule a mini retreat.
COUNCIL MEMBER REPORTS and MAYOR'S REPORT
Jan Schuette, Debora Nelson, and Jesica Stickles gave brief reports while Dick Butner, Marilyn Oertle,
Chris Raezer, and Randy Tendering had nothing to report at this time.
Mayor Tolbert commented on Paul's staff meeting which was held earlier today and she welcomed
Wendy Van Der Meersche to Council meetings.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
City Attorney Steve Peiffle indicated there would be an Executive Session next week to discuss one
matter of pending litigation.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 7:16 p.m.
