Councilmembers Present: Mike Hopson, Jan Schuette, Debora Nelson, Sue Weiss, and Jesica Stickles
Staff Present: Mayor Barbara Tolbert, Paul Ellis, Heather Logan, Kristin Banfield, Jim Kelly, Bruce
Stedman, Dan Cone, Deana Dean, and City Attorney Steve Peiffle.
Council Members Absent: Chris Raezer (excused) and Marilyn Oertle (excused)
Also Known to be Present: Maxine Jenft, Sarah Arney, and Steve Powell.
Mayor Barbara Tolbert called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and the pledge of allegiance followed.
Councilmember Nelson moved to approve the agenda. Councilmember Weiss seconded the motion,
which passed with a unanimous vote.
WORKSHOP ITEMS — NO ACTION WAS TAKEN
Master Builders Association Presentation
Angie Sievers of the Master Builders Association reviewed by PowerPoint what the Master Builders
Association does, growth in Snohomish County, and how to find affordable housing.
Renewal of Snohomish County Regional Drug and Gana Taskforce Interlocal Agreement
Deputy Police Chief Dan Cone spoke regarding renewal of the Interlocal agreement with Snohomish
County Regional Drug and Gang Taskforce. Brief discussion followed.
Surplus of Spartan Fire Engine
Fire Chief Bruce Stedman spoke regarding the request to declare the 1998 Spartan Fire Engine as
surplus. Brief discussion followed.
Miscellaneous Council Items
Council and Mayor Tolbert expressed their thanks and appreciation to Maxine Jenft for her work in
making National Night Out a success.
