HomeMy WebLinkAboutSigned Minutes 4-1-19:!55-Y Council Chambers 110 East Third Street April 1, 2019 Minutes of the Arlington City Council Meeting Councilmembers Present: Mike Hopson, Debora Nelson, Joshua Roundy, Jesica Stickles and Jan Schuette. Council Members Absent: Sue Weiss and Marilyn Oertle. Staff Present: Mayor Barb Tolbert, Paul Ellis, City Attorney Steve Peiffle, Marc Hayes, Sheri Amundson, Bryan Terry and Erin Keator. Also Known to be Present: Don Vanney and Family, Bob Nelson Mayor Barb Tolbert called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., and the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call followed. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA Councilmember Nelson moved to approve the agenda as presented. Councilmember Schuette seconded the motion, which passed with a unanimous vote. INTRODUCTION OF SPECIAL GUESTS AND PRESENTATIONS None. PROCLAMATIONS: None. PUBLIC COMMENT None. CONSENT AGENDA Councilmember Nelson moved and Councilmember Stickles seconded the motion to approve the Consent Agenda which was unanimously carried: 1. Minutes of the March 18, 2019 special meeting and March 18, 2019 Council meeting. 2. Accounts Payable: Approval of EFT Payments and Claims Checks #96395 through #96499 dated March 19, 2019 through April 1, 2019 for $541,718.59. 3. Easement Agreement with Snohomish County PUD for Underground Electric Lines at Haller Park. 4. Strategies 360 Contract for Lobbying. Pagel of 2 Minutes of the City of Arlington -City Council Meeting April 1. 2019 PUBLIC HEARING None. NEW BUSINESS 2019 Comprehensive Plan and Land Use Code Amendment Docket Community and Economic Director Marc Hayes explained that the 2019 Preliminary Comprehensive Plan Amendment Docket consists of 11 items. The docket items have been divided into two separate Public Hearings so that each group of docket items are given sufficient time to be heard and discussed. This item provides opportunity to review the Planning Commission's recommendation of the preliminary docket items and answer any questions that Council may have regarding this preliminary list. Discussion followed with Mr. Hayes answering questions. Councilmember Hopson moved and Councilmember Nelson seconded the motion to approve the 2019 Preliminary Comprehensive Plan Amendment Docket. The motion passed unanimously. DISCUSSION ITEMS None. INFORMATION None. ADMINISTRATOR & STAFF REPORTS None. MAYOR'S REPORT None. EXECUTIVE SESSION None.
