City of Arlington Council Agenda Bill Item: WS #1 Attachment A
for state funding for the Arlington Airport Admin Office Building Solar Project. The project is estimated to cost $385,500.00 and involves the following: design, procure, and install a solar PV array for the
Project, 2017 Taxiway Charlie Lighting & Signing Improvement Project (not awarded), Mound Area Taxi
RESOLUTION NO. 2022-020
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ARLINGTON, WASHINGTON, CONFIRMING LOCAL
MATCHING FUND AVAILABILITY FOR WSDOT AVIATION AID GRANT FUNDING
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) provides grants
to local airports for capital projects; and
WHEREAS, WSDOT Aviation has indicated the potential for a grant in support of the
Arlington Municipal Airport application for a grant for solar power for the airport office
building; and
WHEREAS, the grant requirements will include local matching funds for grants which are
approved;
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arlington does hereby resolve as follows:
1. City staff is authorized to apply for a WSDOT Aviation Aid grant for the sum of
$250,000 in support of the airport office solar power project;
2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign all documents required to accept any grants
which are received; and
3. The City supports the proposed project and will commit to the local match
requirement for any grants which are received through WSDOT as required by law.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Arlington, at its regular meeting held
this 21st day of November, 2022.

Lateral Officer Sarah Althuisius completed her FTO program
SRO Bauer attended AHS Career Fair with other COA staff
Officers Kidd-Zimmerman and Cronauer, fresh from the academy, begin their
FTO program
APD welcomes two new Police Technicians, Terri Jo Jensen and Aimee Hots
APD contracts with Retired Police Commander Terry Quintrall through the end of
the year to assist with department transition and realignment
APD responds to chaotic armed robbery at the Timbers apartment complex.
Three juvenile suspects arrested
Officers Koska, Kidd-Zimmerman, and Cronauer all attended OC training (pepper
spray). They had a good attitude despite ‘feeling the burn’
Police Support Supervisor Jennifer Bilow successful pulled APD through her first
outside audit (ACCESS-every three years). Congrats Jen!
