HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 2022-004 An Ordinance of the City of Arlington, Washington, Correcting a Technical Error in Ordinance 2020-019 ORDINANCE NO. 2022-004 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARLINGTON, WASHINGTON, CORRECTING A TECHNICAL ERROR IN ORDINANCE 2020-019 WHEREAS, in 2020 the City went through the docketing process and various amendments to the zoning and comprehensive plan map were made; and WHEREAS, the zoning amendments were codified in Arlington Ordinance 2020-019; and WHEREAS, incorrect maps were attached to the ordinance, and thereby created a conflict between the Council's approvals and the comprehensive plan map and zoning map; and WHEREAS, the Arlington Municipal Code section AMC 20.94.015 permits the correction of technical errors without the requirement of additional notice or public hearing; and WHEREAS, RCW 36.70A.035 does not require additional public participation to correct a manifest error in the ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arlington do hereby ordain as follows: Section 1. Arlington Ordinance 2020-019 shall be and hereby is amended to substitute the comprehensive plan map attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and the zoning map attached hereto as Exhibit "B" as the correct Exhibits "A" and "B" to said ordinance. Section 2. Severability. Should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance, or its application to any person or circumstance, be declared unconstitutional or otherwise invalid for any reason, or should any portion of this Ordinance be preempted by state or federal law or regulation, such decision or preemption shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance or its application to other persons or circumstances. Section 3. Effective Date. This Ordinance or a summary thereof shall be published in the official newspaper of the City.
